The Trust Board has established committees to carry out some of its governance functions and decides which governance functions they will delegate to them. This may include monitoring and scrutiny of delegated areas and making decisions, although any decisions made will be deemed decisions of the Trust Board.
In addition to the Trustees that sit on committees, the Trust Board appoints committee members, known as Trust Associates, according to their skills and in line with the terms of reference of each committee.
Trust Associates who are members of a Local Academy Committee also have a role in representing the Trust and engaging with stakeholders: pupils, parents and carers, school staff and the wider school community.
